Experience
Mr. Park has successfully represented companies and individuals in every kind of white collar government investigation. He specializes in investigations and trials (in both criminal and civil/commercial cases).
Publications and Thought Leadership
Over the course of 40 years, Mr. Park has published writings on the ways in which U.S. laws influence our democracy and constitutional culture. His law review articles have sharply criticized vague judge-made laws that are not the product of democratic legislation and that threaten individual agency in our society. His critique of the so-called “right-to-control” theory of fraud was cited in briefs in Ciminelli v. United States (2023), where the Supreme Court unanimously struck down the judicial doctrine. He drew on his decades of practice in courtrooms as well as his academic research to author a new book, The Lawyer’s Oath: How a Pledge to the Constitution Can Preserve Democracy. It expands on his prior works to explore how law and lawyers/judges have built America’s constitutional culture and what it will take for a new generation of lawyers to defend the rule of law today.
In addition to his writings, Mr. Park has regularly appeared on panels to discuss federal criminal laws and practices as well as professional ethics.
